Here are just some main rules, there really aren't that many and they aren't that hard to follow, so please do.
1) No discrimination because of race, sex, etc. Not allowed under any circumstances.
2) No harrassment. I don't care what house you're in, you do not harrass anyone else. Teasing, is not harassing, you'll know if you cross the line so don't.
3) No sex on boards, really, you can do it in pm, or even say that your doing it, but no details, no one wants to read that.
4) Listen to your Headmistress, Headmaster, Deputy Heads, Heads of Houses, Professors, Head Boy, Head Girl, and Prefects, they can all take and give points as well as hand out detentions, but no abusing your powers!
5) Stay out of restricted areas, aka other commonrooms or dorms, password protected places. If one character knows it and your other character doesn't, keep the one that doesn't out.
6) unless you are in the thread at the time, you don't know the information. If someone reveals in a thread that they are a death eater and you read it, you can't go around telling people in character. Your character was not there, they don't know the information.
7) You may be a student and a professor on the same account, but you may not join your own class and give yourself an A. That is unexceptable.
8) All Staff Members: If you are caught abusing your powers, you will be removed from that position immediately. You MIGHT get off with a warning if you're lucky.
9) No Mary-Sue characters aka, without flaws. Everyone has flaws, keep this realistic people.
10) If you would like any special powers like telepathy or animagi or metamorphagus, etc, pm me(admin) and ask beforehand. I will let you know if you are allowed because you MUST have my permission.
11) No god-modding aka controlling someone else's character. You may not kill anyone else's character unless you have their permission and the approval of admins. You MAY NOT under any circumstances, kill a canon character. If you are a canon and want to die, unless you are going to become a ghost or something of that sort, then you may not die. If you wish to leave the site, you give up your canon for someone else.
12) You must post at least four sentences in every post. Its not that difficult, its not like we're asking for four paragraphs, although thats not difficult either. When you post nothing, theres nothing to say and it gets very boring.
13) You may not have more than one character on an account. You can make no more than 3 separate accounts, but no more than one character per account.
14) You MUST post in third person.
*What you DON'T do: I walked into the room. "Hi." I said.
NO! That is bad bad bad!
*What you SHOULD do: Sally walked into the room and looked around. "Hi everyone." she said and smiled politely.
YES! That was good!
